I liked the gaming system suggestion:

1. Pong
2. Atari 2600
3. Intellivision
4. Colecovision
5. Nintendo (NES)
(sega and sony have no place in my world)

I like 80's sitcoms too:

1. Small Wonder
2. Square Pegs
3. Head of the Class
4. Perfect Strangers
5. Parker Lewis Can't Lose

Riptide
A-Team
Magnum PI
Knight Rider
Manimal

Damn. I always forget about Airwolf. Man, I thought Jan Michael Vincent was a bad ass. And Angel was sooo mysterious with that cane!

I'm spacing on "the Master." Links? Clues? Remembrances? That wasn't the awesome show with that curly-headed California kid learning kung-fu from the old man with the medallion was it? If so, I don't think there was enough "tech" to go in the above category. But, damn, NINJAs!!

How about:

1. Masters of the Universe
2. Thundercats
3. The Herculoids
4. Transformers
5. Voltron

p.s. Where the hell is Bennett on this thread?!

That's the one.

Tech isn't really the common thread so much as main character is an outsider with some thing/skill/ability to turn into an animal that makes them "super" who is also rejected by society because of it or by some side effect of it (A-Team super soldiers outcast because of crimes they did not commit - much like Michael Knight who had to have his face changed - like the Master who was a ninja - like Manimal who was a ... manimal - like Airwolf because he stole the helicopter) then bad guys "come to town" and beat up the common folk who are then rescued by outlaws who then can't hang around and enjoy the kind people they help because they're always "on the run" (or hiding out in a cave in the desert - or going from town to town helping people as part of a secret car-centric task force of one that was suspiciously like the video game Spyhunter)

Has anyone else noticed the suspicious similarities between the show Las Vegas and The Love Boat?

Thank you, EQJ, for awaking my inner ninja by mentioning The Master. I even remember the van that William Kat's twin drove and even the hamster that rode shotgun.

I think StreetHawk may have been the sixth man on this team.

Oh man! So many shows that followed this formula. There was another one called Phoenix or something that was about an alien who had some sort of super powers related to the sun.

My vote goes to:

1) Voltron
2) Transformers
3) GI Joe
4) Masters of the Universe
5) Powderpuff Girls

or, alternately, we could do the 5 voltron lions, but I'm afraid the fat kid would be in last, with the nerdy kid a close #4...

how many levels of terror alert are there? :D
