thank you, Jackson. This is not about partisanship, imo. I don't care who your party is, do you want your vote to count or not? Can you say with 100% confidence it was? Do you like the idea of paperless electronic voting, much less the old fashioned ways of cooking a vote, and are resigned to accepting it?

If I won anything and the guy running the contest was a friend of mine and promised me the win, then I won... would that not look fishy?

If it were reversed (Kerry pulls out win after losing in the exit polls all day, and almost all "glitches" going for Kerry), would you care, backwardsman? I sure as hell would, even if he is who I support.

well, it's not "inrelevant" to me, and if things were reversed, you know Karl Rove and the "liberal media" would be having a field day with this. As it is, it's barely surfaced a couple of times, and usually derided or swept away as crackpot conspiracy theory (much like Watergate was perceived at first, I might remind you).

Also keep in mind that many of the Bush team (including Papa Bush) are of the same group which was neck-deep involved in the Watergate and BCCI scandals and the Iran Contra affairs, but hey! Who cares?

So if you ever want your vote to not be "inrelevant" I suggest thinking about it a little more than just saying "get over it." Sure, you don't care now, but what if they want to pass an anti-gun law and your vote magically gets eaten? Do you seriously not care or understand the potential consequences of a non-transparent voting process?
