Depends on who you ask
Duffy is slowly warming up to it. I like it a lot. The problem is, it's kind of buried so it's not like there is a big turnout of people who just happen to be walking by the club and see bands playing and decide to pop in.
The club has been booking some really great rock shows (Burning Brides, Aereogramme, Local H, Les Savy Fav, etc.) but the turnouts have been less than stellar.
The Factory is split into two rooms -- the "lounge" is the smaller more private room. It holds about 300 people. Small stage, good sound, comfortable environment. The "factory" is a big open space that you actually have to walk through to get to the "lounge". The bigger shows take place in this room. The biggest complaint that I've heard is that on weekends they usually have something going on in both rooms (usually some sort of DJ/dance type thing going on in the "factory".
I've been there when there are events going on in both rooms and the bass thumping from the "factory" hasn't distracted from the show in the "lounge". But, then again, the show I saw in the "lounge" was a loud rock show. I imagine that during a more quiet and intimate set in the "lounge", it's possible that the sound could be drowned out a bit.
