Eagles/Patriots in da supa bowl.
Watching the Eagles this year will probably be the most entertaining spectacle in any major sport. And...apparently they're about to get Randy Moss out of retirement? Can you imagine a Moss, Jackson, Maclin receiver trio? We could see the first game where 75 percent of the throws are heaves downfield. I wish Chip Kelly would leave Oregon and coach the Eagles. Can you imagine what he would do with the offensive talent they have? Spread and shred.
I know the 49ers have been everyone's dark horse for like the last 5 years but I really think this year it's legit. They have one of the top 5 running backs in the league and their receiving corps is ridiculously talented (Crabtree, Morgan, Ted Ginn, the recently signed Braylon Edwards, and that freak of nature Vernon Davis at TE). If Alex Smith doesn't spontaneously combust there is no reason why this team can't win their division.
First off. The Eagles got Steve Smith from the Giants. I know he is hurt, but once he plays, he has quite the hands and will be another great weapon for the eagles. With that said, there is no way Vick will play all 16 games. I see him playing about 10. He will get hurt.
That's going to be the most interesting thing about the NFL this year, the injuries. With the lack of training camp and practice with pads players are going to be going down left and right, hell, they already are. Really pissed my lions lost Leshoure for the season already. Fantasy is going to be won and lost on the waivers this year.
As far as the Niners. Alex Smith. Enough said. Until he stops sucking the team doesn't have a chance. If I were papa bear I'd tank the season and grab my favorite cub from Stanford. Then you could build a dynasty. Also, Frank Gore won't make it half the season. Once you start getting injured and having surgeries as a running back it is just a downward spiral.
the season starts TONIGHT. fucking pumped.
@Jill, who'd you draft for FF? My wide receivers are stacked: Calvin Johnson (Det), Mike Williams (TB), Dwayne Bowe (KC), Steve Johnson (Buf), Wes Welker (NE), Mike Sims Walker (STL), Bernard Berrian (Min)
