Zoombezi Bay 2011

I was reading the Comfest thread and saw many people mentioning Zoombezi so I thought I'd clear some clutter and start this new thread.

I just got back from a day at the bay. And by "day at the bay" I really meant "Day at Crocktail Island, drinking beer". I love finally being able to be on the grownup side of the waterpark. The prices were REALLY good for a theme park. 16oz drafts were $4.99, and you could get Shock Top or Goose Island. But for $9, you get a 23oz Pilsner glass, that ony costs $3.99 to refill, for the rest of the summer. I was telling my wife, $4 for a 23oz Goose Island is better than 98% of bars in town, I would bet.

New slides = there's only 2. One of them has this stupid washout ramp, and it looks kinda boring. The other one has some nice dips, and this awesome upwards part. Hard to describe. I really liked that one.

I woke up this morning to a commercial for Zoombezi Bay on the radio and haven't been able to stop saying, "Zoombezi Bay" like the guy on the radio spot does. I've been cracking myself up all morning.

i know everybody is about the slides, but last time i was there, the wave pool won me over.

tallgirl and i were fighting middle school boys to get the best spots to ride waves. we almost drowned from laughing.

adults only lazy rivers are the best thing ever.

i lost my sweet teal shades on a water slide but picked up new ones that i like more at what the rock at comfest yesterday.
