i thought about suggesting a cu invasion but that board is such a mess

it is SO ANNOYING that there isnt any kind of "board index" link at the bottom of the page and that you have to scroll back up to the top to return to the index

i have no idea why, cuz i've never been to them, but god that just sounds . . . icky.

i dunno, perhaps it's a bit different if youre a registered user, but i am not so i wouldnt know

its just so "young professional" ugh

no "view active topics" link is what keeps me from ever fully utilizing that site as much as i'd like to. i'm rarely ever on there when the good conversations are active, and only keeping track the the 20 most recent means i end up getting to pull up a lot of event-spam rather than the (rare, but) interesting (to me) conversations over there.

that, and a lot of those folks care VERY FUCKING PASSIONATELY about shit that bores me to tears.
that's why i like a musician/artist-centric board much more than a general populace one. i've read some threads over there that i've enjoyed a lot. but for me, they're few and far between. and that's not a critique or judgment of the site, just my personal mileage. most of the place's conversations are simply for folks-not-me. . .

so, the same lack of scumbag-demographic that keeps me from being too active on CU, then, eh?

Hmm didnt realize alive had message boards. CU can be fun but i cant get too fired up about a 45 page thread concerning the nature of federal interstate funding. Im neither young or professional at this point, but it has some bright spots from time to time.

I only peruse CU from time to time. Never signed up. Probably never will. But I do like that place. I think that from the time I joined Columbusmusiconline, and then eventually here, my internet maturity went from 8 to my actual age. Met lots of great people though. Sucks to see something go. But it is what it is.
