Who is Don Draper?

I had really hoped one of those was out there.

Season finale Sunday. Apparently nobody here cares to discuss this show (me included)?

fantastic season.

maybe my favorite yet.
despite some things i'd have done differently, like:

more peggy-front-and-center story arcs.
(i find her development against the changing times far more interesting than "who is don draper")

more laine pryce.
(the last 2 or 3 eps from last season and the 1st couple from this year he was the most fun side character of the cast.)

i would have loved for don's descent into alcoholism to have gone on for more than 2 episodes. him bottoming out for longer would have made a better story, especially if it meant the rest of SCDP would have had to carry him, the way he's carried them for so long.

i'm so, sooo done caring about bets and any of her plot lines. have that creepy li'l friend of sally's kill her or something. i'm
just done with it.

also, cared nothing for the doctor's story arc, except for the episode where don told her his secrets, and even that was never fleshed out afterwards

all that being said, i loved pete becoming more than just a whiney bitch this year. i love peggy's boho friends, i loved every surprise in the finale (him telling the kids he's dick, the proposal/engagement, bets' obvious ploy to get one last fling outta don only to be rebuffed) and i like how it felt like it could have just as easily been the series finale instead of just the season.

but again, this year needed more peggy. really. it's not the don draper show and it never has been. let's get back to developing ALL the main characters, instead of just don.
