Possibly dumb question: If it rains can the bands still play?

Since I'll be coming from far away for this I keep thinking of the worst case scenarios.

Yes, sue bee is right, last year it downpoured almost all morning through til about 4pm... thankfully the lightning and thunder all happened before the event started and we had amazing volunteers who helped up get things set up while getting drenched. The show went on...

so. we are recruiting a special sunday morning brunch volunteer crew on sunday, july 11th to help us put away this year's parking lot blowout.

we will provide brunch and some other goodies if you provide an hour or two of your time...it will be for a couple of hours in the early afternoon...

EVENT UPDATE (6/29/10):

Friends, rockers: This year’s CMC Parking Lot Blowout is less than two weeks away (July 10), and we are really glad so many people have said they are planning on joining us (from near and far) for the party. For those of you not familiar with this event or the CMC, this is our 5th year of throwing a this thing and it is our primary fundraiser for the year. All money raised goes to support local working musicians through our programming, which you can find out more about . The local support and fundraising aspect has always led to a real communal spirit, but clearly the addition of so many great bands has expanded our scope to generate interest from those a bit farther away. We are excited about that, but want people to understand what to expect, have a great time, and not be left out. So with that, a few things to remember:

1. THIS IS A LIMITED CAPACITY EVENT.
2. THERE IS NO GUARANTEED RE-ENTRY.
3. IF YOU WANT TO ENSURE SEEING ANY OF THE BANDS ON THE BILL, GET HERE EARLY OR VOLUNTEER.
4. ADMISSION IS FREE BEFORE 5PM, $5 AFTER
5. ONCE WE HIT CAPACITY, WE WILL OPERATE ON A ONE-OUT/ONE-IN BASIS.
