lol, i didn't even realize he had never been named on the show. I thought his name really was esau after reading so many posts discussing jacob and esau.

Ok, so here is my latest theory. You know how the "new" Newhart show ended as just a dream of the original Bob Newhart show, well I predict Lost will have a similar ending although the big reveal will be that this has really been a long episode of Fantasy Island and the entire 6 seasons we watched were really just Locke's Fantasy and his real and really is Jeremy Bethram and he wanted this fantasy as he really is confined to a wheelchair and was denied his walkabout so he went to Fantasy Island.

I think that the flash in "Flash Forward" is what happened to the rest of the world when the Losties blew up the station at the end of the last season, and "Lost" will live on through "FF".

Things I've read on the Internet so far:

When Charlotte was dying on the island from the flashes, as she dies she says something to the effect of "I ate a chocolate bar before dinner". In Sideways World, Daniel spotted her at the museum eating a chocolate bar.

The scales painting in WIdmore's office with the black and white rocks equally balanced.

Desmond got what he wanted in Sideways World - Widmore's approval, it was just all twisted around. More proof that Sideways World is Smokey's promise of 'everything you've ever wanted'?

I really HAVEN'T been able to get into this season so far (as much as previous ones at least) but this episode nailed it and finally seemed like an episode of the show I remembered.
