Well from my own humble opinion we were the best thing since sliced bread....
Actually, it was eh. On our part at least. Cafe Bourbon Street has some sort of curse we keep stumbling into. No microphones falling into the crowd but lots of little bullshit that we usually don't do..
Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor were grrrreat. Like a more psychedelic BRMC...a little Brian Jonestown...except instead of strobe lights they had these white backdrops set up, and their light guy had big glass petrie dishes with different food coloring and baby oil that he would hold over an overhead projector. Really really cool. Our guitarist broke two strings on his Jag in one song and the lead singer from Sisters let him borrow his guitar for the rest of the show. Very nice guys.
I won't discuss the first band since they never stuck around afterward and I don't remember their name. (It wasn't Moondrones).
Smallish crowd. To be honest we expected more since we've been getting larger crowds lately and we figured a weekend at CafeBourbon would be stellar...oh well. Probably lots of bar mitzvah's going on that night.
Thanks for asking.
Sisters ruled.
