The Cheater Slicks formed in Boston in the late 80’s and relocated to Columbus in the mid-90’s and we sure are glad they did. Well, we’re almost done planning this year’s Here Comes Your Weekend Parking Lot Blowout, so we wanted to take a quick minute to remind you about the great program you’re helping fund by attending tomorrow’s event!

Proceeds from the bar and food tent benefit the Columbus Musicians’ Assistance Program (CMAP). CMAP is the signature project of the CMC and we donated $7,500 to Columbus musicians in our pilot year.

CMAP awards grants to Central Ohio musicians who are lacking health insurance coverage and who are experiencing health-related financial hardships.

Musicians can submit requests for assistance with:

* Medical bills/treatments/office visits
* Vision or dental services
* Prescription medications
* Drug and alcohol addiction treatment
