What happens to all the confiscated alcohol? Will there be a big party after comfest is over?

We are going to sell it next year at triple the price. Capitalism is the shit as well as working with law enforcement.

Actually they burn it in a big bonfire at the end and make everyone watch. Tears are shed. Lessons Learned.

Imagine getting ticketed for open container while throngs of scofflaws are smoking dope all around you.

my understanding is that "they" won't care. if you bring in a container and you bring it back out you are not contributing to the trash. However you may want to bring in some golashas or hip-waders because there may be a flood of tears from all the folks who can't deal with the concept of not bringing trash to the park. :wall: :wall:   :wall: Please stop supressing their rights Comfest!

honestly this seems like much ado about nothing.

comfest people have a good point, they are not doing it to make money.

and really, how fucking hard is it to put whiskey in a nalgene?

i love complaining about shit, dont get me wrong. but people complaining about no byob is really annoying

more to the point: complaining, even half this much, about a free, corporate-free party that your friends are throwing for you is seriously annoying.

and well-beyond lame.

I don't see much complaining in this thread. Mostly people asking questions and some attempts at "humor".

I'm just trying to figure out if my complete indifference to Comfest is going to destroy Comfest or make it better.

if she wants to change the law, she should run for state rep or city council.

Did the Comfest representative in that clip tell people to go ahead and BYOB, just don't be obvious about it?

See you don't get it... they're destroying Comfest to make it better.

I'm amazed that it's wednesday before comfest and the the bitching has been entirely about BYOB and almost non-existent with regards to band line-up.

I really don't. They're maybe going to sort of enforce a rule that they've had in place for years?

Maybe she would be willing to pay an admission price then?? Does she think the near 400k being spent to throw a little party just for her this year falls out of the sky?? She needs to put down the bong.

Honestly though, how funny that Comfest has become "the man" TM??

Comfest is a non-profit, and a benefit. Can you imagine the outrage if people were sneaking beer into Here Comes Your Weekend or something?? (sorry to use you as an example, ladies).

Hippies versus the entitlement generation - let the culture wars begin... errr... wait a minute... weren't the hippies the original "entitlement generation"?

anyway, people like this Erin Furlong are the exact reason why Comfest has lost it's luster (in my eyes). That and the dinosaur "organizers" that don't have the decency to turn it over to the next generation.

Also, the bands who got picked to play suck.
