Really, this wouldn't at all be possible without the massive volumes of arrogance, ineptitude and criminality of the George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and the rest of their crew.

Grover Nordquist once said he wanted government shrunk down to a small enough size that it could be drowned in a bathtub. Thankfully, this lot has so managed to mismanage and mislead that they've driven Republicans and conversatives into the wilderness (once again), hopefully to drown for good.

Good fucking riddance.

There are plenty future days for criticism of all Presidents past as well as the new President. I would imagine today would be a day to refrain from criticizing ex-President Bush or President Obama. I would consider it showing a little dignity and class, but that's just my opinion.

Beautiful speech. Inspiring, eloquent, scathing, and hopeful. Seeing the massive assembly of people was awe-inspiring. A new era. I'm thankful to be witnessing such an important and, finally, positive moment in history. It sure has been a bleak decade thus far.

Good riddance to the reptiles. Here's to hoping that warm blood can survive in Washington.

I don’t think I’ve ever been entirely proud to be part of our democratic experiment, and for much of the last eight years I've spent a lot of time being outright embarrassed by it, but this is amazing, the speech, the benediction, the millions of people standing in freezing weather for nine hours to witness a thirty minute ceremony, today I am entirely proud of us as a people. Today it feels like we can begin to put the long dark days of our past to bed and actually move forward together.

It is finally morning in America.
