My first listen and there's a couple songs that I am loving right off the bat.

but at least Kanye realize modern r+b is where its at.
i just hope that Kid Cudi's career isnt stunted by Kanye coopting him.

Awful. The autotune all over everything is obnoxious. Greg Dulli and Neil Young can't "sing," but their soul and ability to emote outweights their shortcomings. If Kanye had guts, he would have just sang it and let his deficiencies as a singer become a part of the experience.

Or maybe Dulli should have used an autotune on "Gentlemen."

I see it as a style choice ... Not trying to mask his singing...

I think a better comparison is more like... Pollard could go hi fi recording but chooses not for the feel of the album.

i only have listened to this once last night but my initial thoughts are i really like the songs, but the autotune is REALLY distracting me.
i think it'll grow on me.

I will admit that Love Lockdown is growing on me. It's a decent song lyrically and musically, but it's pretty obvious that the autotune, even as an effect, was most certainly used because of the fact that he can't sing very well.

I dunno, but you mentioned that maybe you just didnt get it and now cant seem to escape this thread....!
