Benco called an audible and moved the show from the Milo to the Summit. So glad I thought to check my e-mail before heading out. Thanks to Lou and his people at the Summit for making this show happen.

I had to leave during the last announced song of the Dodo's set. Did they come out for an encore? More importantly, did they do "God?" or "Red and Purple"? I'd regret it if I missed either of those.

I want to blame Au for playing too long. And some of thsoe songs...dang...you'd think it was over and then they'd go at it some more. The Dodos joined them for the last song though and that was cool. Six guys on stage, everybody beating on something.

The Dodos lived up to their reputation of having a great live show. I liked "Fools" and "Joe's Waltz" an awful lot. The xylophonist beating on the trash can got to be a little much if you were standing right by the stage, as I was for the first part of the set.

Anyone got a set list?

They came out for an encore after about 10 minutes. The drummer came out and looked like he was going to say thanks and end it, but then the singer/guitarist came out and he said "OK, looks like we've changed our minds". You are going to be upset, they ended w/ "Walking" and "Red and Purple". Only drawback to that was the spontaneous swing-dancing that the encore induced in the four drunks in front of me like it was Brian Setzer or something.

Well...not if I would have had to wait 10 more minutes. I felt like I got my money's worth. Good show.



Was one of the drunks the guy with the long hair and beard who was acting as if the show was being performed solely for his benefit? Those types annoy the hell out of me.

No, this was the dude wearing the rice paddy hat along w/ his buddies. I think I know who you are talking about though.

That guy was HILARIOUS! I knew a kid like that in high school.
