The Treehouse will be hosting its first annual homecoming dance this Saturday, September 27.
The party will start around 9 with DJing- I will be spinning nothing but shameful 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s dance songs, very liberally relying on selections by ABBA, Hall and Oates and Michael Jackson. There is no cover if you dress formal and it is $5 otherwise. There will be spiked punch drink special and a photo spot where you can get a picture with your date.
There will also be a battle of the egregious bands- 20 musicians from Columbus will be there and every hour we will draw 6 names from a hat and two cover songs from another hat. The bands will then be left with the task of trying to name themselves and learn those two songs in about 20 minutes.
Dancing is encouraged however not required and stupid fun is insured.
It's like, if you're cleaning a floor, and you're up against it, then come to me, and I'll help us clean our floor together.
