oh god, i've enjoyed every episode so far this season.

how can you hate on the dinner scene at the end of the last episode.

oh, and i just read that showtime renewed it for a 5th and 6th season . . .

Absolutely in my top 5 shows. I think this season has been great, but may have lost a little "subversive" undercurrent with the show not being set in Agrestic. (The underlying social commentary on immigration is excellent, though, and timely). The writing hasn't dropped off any, and it's about that time in the show's lifecycle when you'd expect that to happen... and Kevin Nealon is quite awesome.

Really, I just watched it and thought it was getting back on track... They must know they derailed last year. I have faith.

I just got done gorging myself on this show from season 1 to season 5 in a week. I never noticed a dip in quality, and I was very hooked the whole way through.

But I have noticed that watching a show in huge chunks like that is quite a different experience than watching it week to week. I think maybe knowing that you can just keep watching might make the dull or non-satisfactory parts less annoying.

Yet, If it really went off the rails, I would have easily switched to something else on my streaming netflix, but I just kept on watching. The lack of Conrad's ass somehow did not keep me from loving the show later on...
