And, I really like the new PS Store interface, it's just more intuitive. like, if you press the circle button, you go back to the previous screen, not quit the store!

I went and rented Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters for the PS2 because I loved the new one so much. It's pretty good, more of the same Ratchet and Clank style madness. Except I've been playing it n the PS3 and now need to move the card info to a PS2... why didn't they just build a stupid memory card slot into the PS3? hello!

AWESOME. they just released an add-on pack of 15 new boards for PixelJunk Monsters, my vote for best $10 PS Store game of the year. I am so addicted to this game. I was just hoping last week that they would add some DLC, and, lo and behold, there it was.

so, as you might've guessed, i've been spending a lot more time with the ps3 since the 360 got the dreaded red-rings-of-death a week or two back.

i finally went back and picked up uncharted:drake's fortune and have gone from 3% done from when i first bought it to like 60% since sunday. way more fun than i've ever had with a tomb-raider type thang. for the ps3'ers that haven't tried it, you should be able to find it new at cheap places for like 30, and used for 21-ish. so worth it.

i really want "dead space"
and "left 4 dead"
and i'm counting the fucking days til "resident evil 5" (friday, march 13th)


and since the RROD kills my netflix streaming-to-the-xbox obsession i've been going thru, i'm thinking about finally trying the "PlayOn" service which streams hulu, cbs, youtube, espn and netflix to either the 360 or the ps3. the picture's not as damn-near-dvd-tight as the native netflix streamer in the 360, but fuck man, i just wanna finish kelly's heroes!!! (donald sutherland was blowing shit up in a tank when the RROD hit!!!) there's a few week free trial, and then a one-time $30 license fee. from what i can tell, it'll probably be worth it until the ps3 or xbox catch up to what playon's bringing from the 'net to my television. anyone else tried it? on either box?

Anyone install/play around with @Home yet?

Not much there yet, but there's the nucleus for some cool ideas...and I'm not really into Second Life or shit like that.

I have a backlog of games to get through. My current queue consists of:

Dead Space (I've finished 10 out of 12 chapters -- highly recommended)
Prince of Persia
Bioshock
Fallout 3

I'm also loving Rock Band 2, especially the drums even though I'm not very good at them. I also agree with BastardSuperstar that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is well worth playing. Looking forward to Killzone 2 on 2.27.09 and Resident Evil 5 on 3.13.09.

i fooled around with the beta before it went open, and honestly just couldn't care less. it seemed mostly like a way to make online shopping MUCH more tedious. and there's no fucking way sony's going to convince me to spend real-earth dollars on a cyber-world couch for my HOME apartment . . .

i'll check back every month or so, im sure, but after 2 years of waiting, i just don't see the point. . .

would've been top spot had it not been for streetfighter4.

started bioshock last week. only an hour or two in. i'm not a huge firstpersonshooter guy (at all, actually) but left4dead on 360 has slightly changed my views (read: i found a game i like enough to get better at fps's)

but i heard nothing but great things about every aspect of the game/story/visuals/music from everyone i know who played it, and g4's constant praise. so i figure a used copy's worth checking out.

but goddamn kids, either ps3 OR 360, go get dead space. and finish it. holy fuck!!!!

All 4 of these games are awesome. Even Prince of Persia is sweet, and I never really got into that series. Collecting all the orbs got annoying but the fight sequences are where its at. Fallout 3 is fun, but running around looking for shit gets old. I want more killing. Bioshock has always been a favorite of mine and its rumored that the next installment comes out in february and has multiplayer. big daddys. ha ha

Uncharted 2 looks like the shit. IGN gave it a 9.5. I loved the first one, so I'm looking forward to this. They've also added multiplayer & co-op.

I don't think I've ever had any technical problem with my PS3, except maybe having to reset some settings after an update.

(and that it only supports external USB drives FAT formatted, making that feature essentially useless.)

The online demo is amazing. Online co-op looks to be a big hit.

Anyone play online? What games do you play?

I love the co-op. As far as competitive modes in the demo, plunder > chain reaction. I haven't played any of the deathmatch modes yet.

So I picked up Uncharted 2 yesterday and it's an absolute blast to play. The co-op missions are very difficult, even on the easy setting. They're also much longer than they were in the demo. I played about 6 or 7 missions and was only able to beat 2 of them and they usually lasted for 30-45 minutes. I haven't really started in on the single player campaign yet.
