can't wait. And while I was skeptical about Heath Ledger playing the Joker, the shot on this site looks like they might do Joker right this time: more psycho, less silly.

I found this on youtube.

6+ minutes of the movie that they've shown in the theaters before I Am Legend.

Regardless, it hink that Ledgers performance as the Joker is going to be nothing less than terrifying and brilliant, given what I ahve seen from the Prologue and trailer. He has done something really unique with the character.

His passing is very sad, not just becase he was young talented, has a really cute daughter, but also because this means that The Joker prolly won't appear in the current Batfilm series. The plan was to have Two Face be the main villian for the third film with the Joker playing a smaller but still important role. I suppose thats off now.

Very sad. That being said, The Dark Knight is going to be the best Bat film ever, I think.

fuckme, i thought i posted this yesterday, but i guess i must've forgotten to hit "submit"

IMDB.com wrote:
Is there going to be an animated prequel to The Dark Knight?

Yes, Warner Bros. Animation has teamed with Japanese animators to produce Batman: Gotham Knight, an anime-style direct-to-video prequel to Christopher Nolan's film The Dark Knight (2008). An internal DC/Warner Bros. Animation marketing document described the project as follows: "Set in the period between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT, this brand new adventure follows BATMAN as he unravels a mystery over six original stories done in the style of Japanese Anime. Each of the six original stories has been written by a highly respected screenwriter or comic book creator. The talent includes Academy Award nominee Josh Olsen (A History of Violence), screenwriter of the Blade films and Batman Begins David Goyer, and famed comic book writer Brian Azzarello, among others." Warner Bros. Animation is anticipating this to be rated PG-13 (most likely for animated violence).

Batman: Gotham Knight is expected to be released 2 to 4 weeks before the theatrical release of The Dark Knight (2008). That would place the release date of the animated movie between late June and early July of 2008. A sneak peek of Batman: Gotham Knight will be included as a DVD extra on Justice League: The New Frontier, the direct-to-video animated movie to be released on February 26th, 2008.

i never really buy things on release date, but in this case i'm think i'm gonna have to make an exception.

and i just found out that this is going to be a BRUCE TIMM project, so now it's even sweeter!!! with brian azz and greg rucka (who does AMAZING bat-stories) writing, this just might be the best bat-animation project ever . . .
