(sadly, though, i think i'm gonna wait a few days before starting season 3, because i just bought both 1 & 2 on blu-ray recently, and i wanna watch 'em all from the top again first. just because . . .

so, please, no spoliers without a big ol' "SPOILER ALERT" above it, just for me, OK? OK!)

god, i'd really forgotten just how dreamy silas' first girlfriend was in the pilot episode, before they brought in deaf-megan . . .

You're right DeVille, it IS a comedy. But to me, the show's funniest moments have always been of the satirical variety, and not the screwball antics on display in the premiere. Maybe "dumbing down" was too harsh; screwball comedy when executed well is just as good, if not better, than highfalutin' satire. And come to think of it, there was some really well-done goofball humor in the first two seasons. But the banter between Andy and the bounty hunter, and the craptastic car scenes involving Nancy and U-Turn's wingman were overwrought and painfully unfunny. But whatever, just one guy's opinion...

As funny as that scene in the bathroom was, the rest of the episode could have been paint drying for all I care.
