I haven't seen one of these threads in a while, and I am always looking for something good.

As for myself:

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black -good record, interesting production, but hook-shallow

Gojira - FromMars to Sirius even though it was released in August of 2006

We All Belong from Dr. Dog gets a spin every now and then

Kristen Hersh is still rocking the house with Learn to Sing Like a Star

so what is everyone else digging these days?

I'm really liking the new Amy Winehouse. A huge step up from her first album.

The Deadly Snakes - Love Undone & Porcella - I wish this band was still around.

1947-53 - city of glass-this modern world - stan kenton plays bob graettinger (wild stuff)

listening to a lot of older stuff I guess
I tried to like the new Arcade Fire but couldn't get into it, kind of digging the new Modest Mouse

I've been really bad about letting the stuff i've downloaded languish on my hard drive, unlistened to. So I made it a mission to make CD-Rs of all my emusic stuff and actually put them near the stereo where they won't be forgotten. A couple old-ish ones out of that stack that have been reborn:

YLT- I am not afraid of you and I will beat your ass
Black Angels - Passover (resurgence inspired by recent live show)
The National - Alligator
Brightblack Morning Light
Explosions in the Sky
Beaten Awake

Still not burned/listened to:
Andrew Bird
Arcade Fire
RJD2

Dio makes his wang look so much bigger....

I've been listening to a lot of NPR and Pandora internets radio, but also been checking out some T-Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello (I really like his last couple of rock albums), The Aggrolytes, Toots & The Maytals, Jeffrey Luck Lucas, Madagascar, Calexico, Tito Puente, Joe Jackson band, Chris Connelly, John Prine, The The, and Boomtown Rats.

I have not heard the new Andrew Bird or Arcade Fire yet, other than a song or two.

Connelly's solo stuff is a completely new discovery for me and it's awesome, and not at all what I expected (more Nick Cave than Revolting Cocks). Other new discoveries have been Jeffrey Luck Lucas and Madagascar - both have that Tex-Mex Tango thing going on.

Last Town Chorus' cover of "Modern Love" has gotten stuck in my mind once or twice too.

Hellyeah - (some dude from Mudvayne, some other metal dude, and Vinnie Paul of Pantera/Damageplan)

I thought this was going to be a trainwreck and after watching the first video from the CD, it further confirmed my initial suspicions that this band would sound like a post-grunge metal band. There are a few tracks in that vein (blech) but there are also a few fist-pumping moshpit starting songs that sound pretty sweet.
