also, don't try and pretend that small buisness owners are broke.. my friends who own buisness make good money at it. if your buisness is not making money, it does not have to do with weather or not it is getting tagged it has to do with the service you are offering and the quality of said service. i am sure it sucks to buy black paint to paint the bathroom of your bar every monday, but i am also sure that if you let people tag your bathroom and are not a dick about it, you would get about 10-20 people hanging out there multiple nights a week spending 20 odd bucks on drinks... most indoor paint cost 10 bucks a bucket.... two hours to paint a bathroom, at 10 bucks an hour = 30 bucks, 20x20 = 200 - 30 = 170 i guess it would be profitable to let people tag your bar.

ok, what about outland. the very first night PBJ showed up there, they covered every fucking inch of the bathroom (including the mirrors and toilet lids) in bullshit marker initials. yeah, that was real "beautiful art!" what did we do that was so uncool to them that they felt they had the right to destroy hundreds of dollars worth of shit their first night there. was it that we didn't ask them to stop breakin' in the middle of a crowded dance floor? was it that the drinks were just too damn stiff. was there someone with them that we were supposed to approach and say "hey, we're cool, too, so don't tag us!"

How can anyone think it is okay to alter someone's personal property without permission. If someone allows you to use a space for your "art" like carabar did - awesome, and it looks great, but do you really think these so called small businesses owe you a goddamn thing??
