RSS feeds are set up on a lot of websites so people can read a whole bunch of blogs and websites in one place without having to actually visit all of them. They use an RSS reader.

Personally, I use this website: http://bloglines.com/

I live and die with Bloglines.

So you can add that RSS link of the message board into bloglines and track it (along with many other websites) and get instant updates, without having to actually visit them over and over again.

Granted, if you want to participate in the message board (reply, etc), you'll have to actually come here.
