we state workers are getting the shaft. most people don't know that the unions have ALREADY agreed to all kinds of concessions. this is strictly an anti-worker, anti-union move. it has NOTHING to do with saving the state money. oh yea... write your own, or send a form letter to your rep. it takes like 5 seconds: http://fightforafaireconomy.org/categor ... downloads/ |

The bill isn't anti-worker or anti-union - it is anti-public sector union. State workers have no need for a union and having politicians negotiate labor agreements with unions that helped get them elected has led to large pension obligations that are unsustainable and unaffordable. Reducing the growth of pensions will save the state money. I am sure you are a good guy and work hard at your job, but I don't think it is unreasonable to ask public employees to pay more for their healthcare and retirement, and at the least, reduce the bargaining power of the union. |

well... it's passed the senate so halleluja.. the answer to ohio's budget problems are answered. people are always going into government for the big pay day.. that's enough of that! |
