The bill isn't anti-worker or anti-union - it is anti-public sector union. State workers have no need for a union and having politicians negotiate labor agreements with unions that helped get them elected has led to large pension obligations that are unsustainable and unaffordable. Reducing the growth of pensions will save the state money. I am sure you are a good guy and work hard at your job, but I don't think it is unreasonable to ask public employees to pay more for their healthcare and retirement, and at the least, reduce the bargaining power of the union.
it isn't unreasonable to ask us to take cuts, and trust me, we've been hacked and slashed and lay offs have occurred. the union has AGREED to many terms presented by our officials. this isn't about saving money because if it were, there'd be no argument right now.
