Tea-tards and Teahadists? Nice example of changing the tone. I figured you might be more supportive of a
bipartisan group.
"bipartisan" my ass.
Quote:
The national breakdown of the Tea Party composition is 57 percent Republican, 28 percent Independent and 13 percent Democratic, according to three national polls by the Winston Group, a Republican-leaning firm that conducted the surveys on behalf of an education advocacy group. Two-thirds of the group call themselves conservative, 26 are moderate and 8 percent say they are liberal.
First off, how many of those alleged "Independents" are only calling themselves that as they run away from (in name only) what the GOP has become, despite supporting and voting for them every year? How many of those "Democrats" are from Operation RushLimbaughHatesDemocracy when he encouraged Republicans to register as Democrats to vote in the Primaries (a tactic which apparently worked wonders)?
Now THAT'S a slap down!
Fail. Then again, to someone who probably thinks FOX is the only unbiased news source, this is the paragon of bipartisanship, just like the Heritage Foundation.
I call them Teahadists because so many on the right seem anxious and excited to start a civil war, use a variety of terrorist tactics to push their agenda despite it not having democratic support of the populace, and because so many seem bent on making America into a Theocracy. They are the white, Christian version of jihadists, and many of them seem pretty damn proud of it.
If they don't like it, then they should stop acting like terrorists, frankly - and yes, I get the irony of calling them that after being called that myself for so many years despite the fact that not once did I belong to any group which threatened violence, secession, etc. Wah.

While some might think their taxes are currently fair, they probably won't think the taxes are fair that will have to be charged to get us out of the massive hole Obama is spending us into.
Oh you're on a roll today. Do you get mad at the tow truck driver when he pulls your car out of the ditch too?
Did it ever occur to you that Bush's economic "strategery" is one of the reasons we're in this mess? Oh wait, I forgot, we can't blame Bush for his actions as that would not be responsible. lol.

I noticed your outrage about the story I posted about how 2/3 of corporations paid no taxes from '98-'05 - oh wait, you're ok with that. I forgot. Huh, I wonder why we're in such a hole, between expensive ginned up wars and this ridiculous idea that you can run a modern society on nothing.
Guess what, homeslice?

The cap stipulations of the stimulus are also widely misrepresented. It mentions nothing for the financial rewards and new jobs it will give for companies that boost their renewable energy, wind and solar power capabilities (these aren't just smaller companies either: take a look at GE's recent clean tech roster.), not to mention the HUGE tax credits it will give households who adopt solar and wind technologies.
God forbid we set limits on our industries’ greenhouse gas emissions and begin introducing safer, cleaner technology that has been around for 30+ years but essentially ignored because the captains of industry cry "you're hurting business" every time a regulatory measure to make the world a safer place is proposed. What's the next tactic: calling pollution a "myth" just like global warming?
Of course, all of those companies will just regulate themselves! We don't need any kind of regulations; just look at what a great job they've been doing of it so far! lol.
