The cap stipulations of the stimulus are also widely misrepresented. It mentions nothing for the financial rewards and new jobs it will give for companies that boost their renewable energy, wind and solar power capabilities (these aren't just smaller companies either: take a look at GE's recent clean tech roster.), not to mention the HUGE tax credits it will give households who adopt solar and wind technologies.

First off, how many of those alleged "Independents" are only calling themselves that as they run away from (in name only) what the GOP has become, despite supporting and voting for them every year? One President spent too much money so that means every President can now spend as much money as they want.

I don’t know why I continue to respond to these silly missives. You aren’t willing to listen, you paste any random assortment of non sequitur hypotheticals in an attempt to counter factual claims. It’s sad, yet so telling about the human condition, that though steeped in a media that offers limitless facts available at your fingertips you’ll still choose the numbers that reiterate your preconceived perceptions of the world around you.

The fact is, I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW Obama passed 25 separate tax cuts as part of the stimulus package, which you KNOW affects about 95% of the population, including $300 billion in tax cuts for the middle class, which you KNOW is one of the largest in history.

Federal taxes are now at near-historic lows. An average family of four is now paying 4.6 percent of its income in federal income taxes, which is the second lowest percentage in 50 years. There is currently no VAT, nor is there one being proposed by the Obama administration. Again, you know this.

So, it comes as somewhat of a surprise (SPOILER ALERT!) that a series of new polls shows most Americans still don’t realize they got a tax cut, and instead mistakenly believe they are being taxed more under Obama. Gee, wonder why.

Of course, when the counter-factual numbers run dry you’ll say something like “I can’t believe you’re taking his word on this” or some variation as stated above. There’s no point in aptly attempting to counter this because we’re waging hypotheticals against hypotheticals. We may as well pontificate on the finer points on who would win in battle between Gamarra and Ghidorah (hint: Ghidorah would win). You’re a victim of a poisoned logic and there’s very little I can do for you.

This manufactured rage is enough to get people out in the streets and rallying? What about the 8 years before, when Federal budget spending hit historic highs? Where was the Tea Party when our leaders were spending $1 trillion + on a war waged under false pretenses?
