Anyone ever know someone with a loud bratty child who acts out because they know they'll get attention, and not care if said attention is negative or positive?

I woulda shoved that whistle down that parents f-ing throat. what kind of dumb fuk gives their kid a whistle on a plane ride?
My kid acts up a little, expecially at restaurants, but at least I try to correct him and if that doesnt work I take his ass to the car. He's only 2 though, so he doesn't know any better.

To be fair, kids are going to act up sometimes. It's part of being a kid, right? But they also have to learn when to behave. I once witnessed this kid try to stick his finger in my mayo cup in a restaurant, then proceed to run around screaming and actually lie down on the floor right in front of the kitchen doors. Total potentially awful accident waiting to happen and the parents 2 tables away were completely oblivious until I started loudly making jokes about kidnapping little Bratly and selling him into slavery.

That didn't go over too well, but it worked.

Funny story.


We were in some breakfast place in Siesta Key, Florida when a family with an adorably rotten red head son walked in. It was Red, Mom and brother. Red was horrible. He screamed, bossed, whined, grabbed, knocked things over...... he was terrible. Mom got up to go to the bathroom and left older brother in charge of Red and begged Red to behave. As soon as Mom was out of sight, Red being the color of the devil, became an angel.


He played quietly, kept to himself and never made a peep....until..... Mom came out of the bathroom and he caught her eye. He then proceeded to knock the cup of crayons he was playing so well with thirty seconds before, to the ground and scream.

Red's way of getting Mom's attention was to behave negatively because Mom reinforces it by reacting so much.

Kids are not the problems. Parents are.

yes, charged with murder this time, but it sounds like there were some instances in this dudes life where he crossed lines and escaped without consequence

My point is when you connect the dots of an privileged upbringing and some unpunished sketchy behavior, he may fall under the category of "spoiled child"
