Such a sad day in terms of the political debate in this country. Legislative secrecy, backroom bribes and deals, budgetary gimmicks/tricks, and out all lies win the day.

Who knew when the President said he wanted to "change the tone," he actually meant he wanted to make it worse.

He could have had healthcare passed 6 months ago if he took a cooperative approach, and actually kept his campaign promise at the same time. Instead, we know see a bill passing process that is so dirty, that from now on politicians will use the same horrible process to pass anything they want, that isn't popular enough to pass in a bipartisan manner.

I'm 'mer'can.

I support any decision the U.S. government makes in order to create and maintain several wars at once and will glady pay for it. As long as I am granted the illusion that I am safe and secure and my daughter's generation is guaranteed tons of high-action, high-definition, full-color history channel reels of the U.S. military at work, I know my tax dollars are well spent and representative of my ideals.

When it comes to any other public services, the government should back off. I paid for Fascism, not Socialism.

I want death and destruction. If I wanted good healthcare, I'd move to Cuba and play jazz. I want expensive, shitty healthcare and expensive, shitty wars forever and I'm willing to work 3 jobs and go bankrupt to keep it that way.
