Is anyone planning on going to the Gateway or Studio 35 for the finale? I can’t decide if I want to.

I think Smocke and Widmore are on the same team. If Smocke wanted to kill them all simultaneously, and Jack was not getting on the sub (or plane) then having one of the stormtroopers shoot Kate (non-lethally) would do the trick perfectly. Longest. Con. Ever.

Okay, here's my new crazy theory.

I'm beginning to wonder if Kate isn't the new Jacob. Out of the candidates left, she's the only one who doesn't change in Sideways World. She's the only one who hasn't made a real and lasting connection with someone (Jack - his son; Sawyer - Miles; Hurley - Libby). She's the only one who doesn't stand to lose something in Sideways World.

At first I thought that was ruled her out as the new Jacob; that she doesn't experience an epiphany, but maybe that's exactly why she could stay.

Just a thought.

Also, Bernard knows what's going on.

It's like telling someone else's joke backwards and declaring that it isn't funny.

My money's on Desmond being the new Jacob, partially because he's not on Smockey's radar, and 'cause he's awesome. Then again, Kate is a dark hose contender (lol?). OR, maybe to really screw with our heads, the whole free will thing will totally change the game and no one will become the next Jacob.

And with the various childrens on the show, Disney could have a whole spin off series....

So Jacob and MIB couldn't kill each other, but Jacob could knock MIB unconscious and throw him into the light?

Smokey is an amalgamation of all the men who've tried to get the light? Have other people found the light prior to MIB being thrown in? Or was this the first time someone entered, and that was the result? Smokey just needed a live person to get out? Does Smokey contain MIB's soul? Maybe then it's just a matter of MIB's soul being stuck on that island (like Michael) and really just wants to leave to be at peace?

Answers, but so many more questions.

Someone online has said that Desmond will be able to withstand the light, and will move the island underwater and far enough in the past that the candidates will never be brought to the island, thus making the Sideways World the only true world.

But if that's the case, then Desmond goes down with the ship.

Also, I know the sonogram didn't show twins, but is Claire suddenly going to have two babies?

Or is Aaron the sum parts of Jacob and MIB, in one body?

The series has to end with Aaron being born in the Sideways World. So many of the key players are at the hospital, or have been there very recently.
