Some hackers stole some documents from some scientists at the University of East Anglia in England. The scientists believe global warming exists.

Among the accusations based on the leaked data:

That the scientists manipulated data that didn't prove there was global warming.

That they threatened to withhold their studies from peer reviewed journals and magazines if those publications published articles and studies refuting global warming either existed or was man-made....

...Then discredited those scientists who refuted global warming saying their studies weren't believable since they weren't in any peer reviewed journals.

that the scientists deleted data and emails to avoid have to provide them in any FOI requests.

Both the school and the professors have confirmed the theft and the leaked documents.

" for the University of East Anglia attacked the "mischievous" publication of the documents and said it was co-operating with police to determine the circumstances of the theft, which it said included "personal information about individuals"".
