I have suspicions that the beancounters insisted the message be added to the packaging, and don't let it influence my opinion on the band at all.

For the record, I found the album via filesharing services and then bought it the weekend after it was released (granted it was a promotional copy which benefits neither the band nor the label and only the merchant, but it's a tangible copy nonetheless).

It only makes me sad .01%. The record still is a top ten.

the first -and only- time i saw that was on the Audio Bullys album, Ego War.
found it creepy. in a funny way. i mean, i know emi is at the forefront of this anti-copy movement but this little message seems a bit unnecessary. especially since the people who are gonna put up mp3's of these songs are gonna do it regardless. lol

kinda pointless. but it annoys the fuck out of the paying customers.
