Looks like I gotta go, after all..

I freaking love Granddaddy. I saw them open up for Elliott Smith a few years back in San Francisco, and they ruled the universe.

Pete Yorn should be opening for Grandaddy - not the other way round. I saw Grandaddy when they were youngin's at Southgate - I think they opened for Mr. Elliot Smith if I do recall. I also saw em when they played Little Brothers and Grog Shop and they rocked the house. Not a personal fan of Pete Yorn though. Is it worth it?

I think you're out voted Mr. Duffy.

I can't say I'm a big Pete Yorn fan either. The frat boys love him though.

Granddaddy gonna save everyone's soul.

And that last Pete Yorn record was good.

His live show at Newport was kinda weak, and it didnt help that the crowd was made up of thousands of screming girls. But that shouldn't take away from the work.

Oddly enough my first post on the fabulous DW.com was already mentioned. I'm afriad I haven't understood the Yorn facination in this city. People love him here. Grandaddy should indeed be headlining. I caught Grandaddy opening for Elliott Smith as well in numerous cities across the midwest and - didn't they do ashow at Little Brothers? If my memory is safe, I was at that one too. Damn good show, musically AND visually. I've been wanting to rip off their "Fall Leaves" theme ever since.

I've gotta say...Grandaddy does kick all ass. I would give a hand-crank transmitter to see them live.
