On some sort of nostalgic whim, I browsed over to Brainbow's website this afternoon and found that it has been updated:

I'm not sure when this update was posted (as my last visit was probably around 2 years ago) but the prospect of another record from these guys excites me to no end. I recall hearing rumors of a second LP back when I began seeing them in Columbus around 2007 or 2008. The story I heard was that they had recorded an album that was going to be released by Pat Carney's short-lived Audio Eagle label. By the time the label went under, I'm pretty sure the group had pretty much gone their separate ways.

Anyways, whether "Brainbow II" is made up of entirely new recordings or is merely the release of that rumored second LP, I'm looking forward to hearing from one of my favorite Columbus bands once again.

Does anybody know what's up?

We just updated the site a month or so ago, and yeah...

Brainbow II is DONE and in our hands

Double LP, white vinyl .... 50+ minutes of new shit and olde stuff...
digital release will probably happen at the end of December

and

LP release show is
January 19th @ Ace of Cups with EYE and CONNECTIONS
