Here's a quick rundown of the latest headlines making news this hour: - is now RAIN OR SHINE! We just purchased a gigantic, colossal, towering tent (obviously the only kind of tent that could hold an event of this magnitude) that will cover the entire outdoor lot; so even if it ends up raining a little on Saturday it will not be a problem whatsoever. No sky tears in your beers. - It was just announced that will be playing in their "classic" configuration on Saturday night. Matt will be joined by ol' mates Rich and Roxas for a set of madness straight from the '00s. 10PM on the Blue Stage. - have announced that the Megacity Music Marathon will be their last show ever. Yep. Last. Show. Ever. 7:30PM on the White Stage. - will have a party pics photo booth set up from 8PM ‘til 1AM, but look for them hanging out beforehand snapping some sexy candids. Make sure they get your good side. - Our friends at will be on hand printing t-shirts with some killer Megacity and artwork. Bring your own shirt from home if you want it to be a little cheaper. - And finally, we’ve confirmed some guest emcees for the event including Tony "Envelope" Collinger and the one and only Paul Bearer. Get your tix now! Pre-sales will be cut-off tomorrow. http://pbrmmm.com |

It looks like the weather for tomorrow will be very similar to today - mid-70’s and overcast - but if it does rain, don't worry, we've got it covered (like literally, with a MASSIVE tent!). See you tomorrow at noon, merry marathoners!!!! RAIN OR SHINE! #mmm |

Bigfoot and Bygones were great. 84 Nash was fantastic; the most welcome reunion show in Columbus in my memory. |

I couldn't decide which Eagle Bill Fox sounds like more: Glenn Frey or Don Henley. I was not prepared for that question. I went with Don Henley. Quit asking stupid questions. |

Needed all day yesterday to recover, but it was absolutely worth it; so many memorable performances and such great vibes. So much fun singing along to those 84 Nash songs again! And finally getting to see The Cusacks live; BIGFOOT!; the re-imagined Bygones sounding as good as ever (thanks again Brett for the Psandwich record!); Tree of Snakes mania (including Womeldorph’s fine display!); Saintseneca's transcendence; Chris McCoy & Sean Beal; Professional Wrestling on fire (literally!); the Beach Bums wild closing set; so many highlights for me, I could go on and on... I just want to thank everyone who played a part in making Megacity such an incredible experience. Especially Kevin Elliott, Jimmy Woodland, Kurt Monnier, Molly Winters, Kyle Sowash, Jake and the rest of the Woodland’s staff, the volunteers and ALL THE BANDS! Also, big thanks to Emily and Dan at Paradise Garage, Bethia Woolf of Columbus Food Adventures, ThoughtCo., We Are Glitterati, Make Believe Monsters, Juniors Tacos, Red Hot Food Truck, all my friends who helped immensely and most importantly, YOU – without you caring about local music, showing up and having fun there really wouldn’t be a point! And THANK YOU for drinking PBR otherwise there wouldn't be any money to do this sort of thing. Let’s do it again, eh... late May, early June 2012? We already have some exciting ideas in mind. Stay tuned! |

Agreed. Even if they were going for campy with the obnoxious lights it would only be worth one Spinal Tap laugh every now and then. Why not just go full fog and have an epic lightsaber duel between bandmembers? |
