Can't imagine what a bad time or worst time at Comfest would be; probably one where I was fucking up my personal life and still managed to have a good time or one where I felt like I wasn't a part of the community (which hasn't happened yet). If you haven't volunteered I hesitate to say you don't fucking get it man (Bcos I say that all the time in jest) but you probably don't. Comfest ain't about the lineup. A great lineup sure can help Comfest dreams come true but im an existentialist, theres usually no one to blame for your crappy time except yourself. If you dont like something try to change it or accept it. Or tell me and I will see what I can do for you, lazy ass..

How many times do I have to drive your drunk ass around the park in a gulf kart before you take me more seriously (I even make sure your beer don't spillz)

Edit: The worst Comfest ever will be the one where Ramirez refuses to drive me around in a golf cart and spills my beers.

There was a moment during IC's last song where I thought "this must be what it's like watching your parents make-out" Problem is that I really liked it. I mean shouldn't rock n roll make you question things like your political beliefs, and sexual orientation while making you wonder if you really do love your mom?

Gob: "I know what an erection feels like, Michael. No, it's the opposite -- it's like my heart is getting hard."

Here is Lost Revival playing our song King of Electricity at Comfest. We had a blast at Comfest this year.

I only taped a little this year. Headed over to the Offramp stage late Saturday. Here is what I posted to my Mediafire folder:

Lost Revival - Partial Set - last 6 Songs
Mooncussers - sound came out amazing - complete set
Bush League All Stars - complete set
Lydia Loveless - missing 1st encore(someone messed with my deck)

Feel free to grab any other shows you see. I have added a bunch lately.

Thanks Billy. I'm proud of the new stuff and it means a lot that someone of your pedigree appreciated it.

My favorite moments of the weekend were Bush League All-Stars, Bi Bear, Organ Grinder Productions, Way Yes and the guy in the lucha libre mask who MC'ed the Solar Stage on Friday.

I missed almost all of Lost Revival, which was a mistake. Could have used some Sean Gardner somewhere, too. Kudos to Comfest organizers and volunteers for working your asses off, in spite of it being a thankless job.

just got back from vacation and thought I'd way in. I had a good time, more hippy/jam bands than I remember in past years, but I just moved on to another stage, it's not them it's me. I just don't get it.

I spent most of Saturday at the off-ramp stage. I tried a few other stages, but found myself returning to my blanket and the bands under the tent: That said, I don't like the tent, the stage and tent sits too low, so it's hard to see the bands from outside. Plus, it can be very, very loud. Also, it took almost an hour to get a beer at the tent, that kind of sucked too.
Dave Holms' is almost too talented for his own good. Ever song was so different than the previous song I felt like I was listening to a different band each time, in a good way, sort of. I have to admit, I can't remember the bands name, but I think it was actually Bigfoot on stage.
Flying Saucers still can get peoples asses up and dancing!
Harvest Kings were surprisingly louder and heavier than I expected from their cd. Again, mostly in a good way. The songs are catchy and the Uncle Tupelo cover was a nice surprise.
Unit One was more country than I expected to hear or remember from their Rumba show I went to a while back.
Lost Revival is five years away from being amazing, if they stick together. I still mostly enjoyed their set.
Mooncussers started out strong, but I felt their set was too front loaded and by the end I was fried, or maybe just drunk. The Replacements cover was sweet!
I went Sunday to see Miranda Sound's Billy Peaks new band, it was exactly as I expected. great musicianship and solid song writing.
That's it for me.
Thanks everyone at Comfest for giving me a great weekend of music, community, and lot's of gawking. Can't wait until next year. Maybe my band will finally get in too.
