UndergroundColumbus.com, in partnership with the Ohio Center for Broadcasting, is starting to schedule live performances for the 2011 Columbus OCB Sessions series. The Columbus OCB Sessions began as a project launched by Dave Huffman (of Jakob Freely etc.) to give musicians from Columbus and the surrounding areas opportunities to perform a stripped down set, resulting in an edited video of the performance for the artist and web-based exposure on , an online station featuring only unsigned musicians.

In the past we've hosted sessions with Earwig, the Miss Molly Band, the Smith Brothers, the Andy Shaw Band, Timid Blue, Matt Monta and The Hot Coal Band ... lots of local artists. We're looking to continue into 2011, so if you might be interested (or know someone that would be) please contact Kristin Rozelle at rozelle.k(at)beonair.com.

The average session is 30-45 minutes in length, with a quick interview either before or after. Couple examples here - Earwig and Jakob Freely .

The next Columbus OCB Sessions is next week (January 27th) with Chris Shaw (featuring his work on the Duets project), so if you'd like to drop by and check things out let me know. All sessions are hosted on the campus of the Ohio Center for Broadcasting - close to Main St. and Noe Bixby.
