After today's Other Paper article stating, basically, "the old hippies who decide the bands based on their own biases rather than a sense of community got their hemp undies in a snit because the young punks don't volunteer enough for their tastes, so they took a dump on the Offramp stage", I must congratulate you for posting this.

It's daring, phyrric, mind you, but daring.

Also, considering ComFest's new PR talking point that "ComFest is not about music", posting this in a music-specific forum on a music-focused blog is certainly a brain-twister!

I have to say it's good to see someone focused so much on the community and volunteer aspects of ComFest that they are capable of moving past or simply negating the uneven-handedness and confusing message the ComFest organizers have put forth this year.

You're putting flowers down the barrels of the national guard, so to speak, and that takes courage.
