The Invisible Hits Hour is a specialty program with a 17-year history on Columbus, OH’s WWCD, CD-101FM. It was begun by Curtis Schieber, then a staff writer for Columbus, OH alternative newspaper Columbus Alive, and Bill Eichenberger, then Pop Music Critic for The Columbus Dispatch. Schieber went solo beginning in summer ‘95 and has continued with guest hosts drawn from a local as well as national industry and musician pool. The one-hour program consists of reviews of new full-length albums by the hosts in a discussion format and a cut from each of the ‑ typically ‑ nine selections. The choices run the gamut of pop and traditional music, including punk, country, hip-hop, blues, jazz, world beat, rock and folk.
