yeah this is another real bummer, how a night that was meant to be a way to help benco ended up with another good guy in the hospital. i hope miles is able to make a speedy and full recovery.

I spent a few hours with Miles tonight. He is in good spirits and we had a good time making up 70's funk porno songs (one of our favorite things to do together, we have an albums worth!).

He looks great, considering what he has been thru, and seems to be recovering really well. I am happy to say that his trademark grin, laugh, sense of humor, and optimism have not been affected by this attack.

Now someone find the asshole who did this (I'm sure you know who he is by now) and turn his pathetic bitch ass in to the police.

Miles is amazing. Such classic of titles as "Beef without the chedda'" "bring da weed" and "baby i love you more when your ass gets fat" are just just one of the many reasons. And I agree about his laugh, it's classic and infectious, surprised it hasn't been sampled more.

The fact that someone did this is inexcusable. According to the article the guy did it because the guy thought Miles was seeing his woman. So I say the best revenge would be to run a train on her and take pictures. Then we frame them and send them to the guy in jail. He can enjoy them while others are enjoying him.

I stopped in to see Miles briefly on Sunday afternoon. I'd chatted with him outside of Cafe Bourbon Street probably fifteen minutes before this all happened. He's the last person in the world I'd think anyone would want to hurt. I hope he's on his feet soon and filling the room with his laughter.
