Anyway, I can't imagine anybody that has ever heard Dead Sea and Necropolis could ever think those bands share guitar players.

Still, what a coincidence two of the most innovative guitarists in this town right now (and for the last several years) are both named Adam Smith?

a funny side note..there is an Adam Smith in either the band Burglar or Stucco Jones so sometimes i get into extra confusing conversations.

I'm still reeling from the fact that Adam's magnus opus The Wealth of Nations was overlooked, as well.

Funny, I just had the same discussion on (the same) name confusion a couple of weeks ago.

There was this awesome month for me, and I'm assuming all Adam Smiths, where my friends all became freshmen in college and heard about the Wealth of Nations for the first time. In that awesome month, they would all spend the first 5 min of each conversation I would have with them trying to come up with a Wealth of Nations joke and then explaining to me what the Wealth of Nations was and who Adam Smith was. So I spent that month hearing the same Wealth of Nations joke and explanation many, many times a day. I consider it a month of my life wasted. It was awesome. Also, all bookstore cashiers will make a Wealth of Nations joke every time they see my debit card. It is awesome.

So... "i know" refers to the fact that, yes, I realize this error, as several people alerted me to it upon publication of said error.

"Didn't think that through" and "should spend more than 2 minutes" refers to the fact that if I had listened to any songs on Deadsea's myspace page and played a fun little compare and contrast game with my copy of Necropolis' Hackled Ruff or myspace or whatever, it would have been pretty obvious that these are two different Adam Smiths. Or just looked at a band photo. ...I think I was Googling adam smith necropolis or cdr or something and deadsea came up, with the name adam smith, and I thought, "huh, weird, never knew that or heard that..." and just inserted Deadsea into my hastily cobbled trifecta blurb.

I was called "Woolsey" in all of my college classes- the very same sheepherding Woolsey bastard name that my family changed in order to dissociate ourselves from those wankers when the shit went down in England.
