I just think it was poorly written. My guess is the guy has a coffee shop in Powell so he is there every friggin' morning and night and won't be able to run around town to see a bunch of bands. It looks more like some jokes that were poorly played and he is probably very sorry now that he ever sent it out. I don't know the guy but maybe he actually has a bunch of musician friends? The majority of acts at Comfest are better suited for a coffee shop than Bourbon St. or Bernies. I called to book a show but Hayseed already took the month of March. |

Anyone get this email? To: dogsthatwearcondoms@hotmales.cnn From: Daryl Strawberry Subject: Comfest Arbys Time Hello Jill, this is not the real Daryl Strawberry but I am a local entrepreneur and on the Comfest committe. Also, I am the owner of a series of Arby's on the westside. I am writing you because I want your band, Drowned in Fecal Matter to come and volunteer a shift at one of my poorest performing Arby's. Well, it's not entirely pay free, I will give you a small fry or a small shake (not jamocha because that shit is straight crack) in exchange. The benefit to volunteering is two fold. First, it benefits me because I have a staff full of alleged humans that have been either robbing me blind or somehow each roast beef sandwich costs roughly -$.46 from the hours of 5-9pm. Secondly, it will benefit you because I will give your band a headlining slot on the Comfest "That Meat is Weird and Artificial" Stage. I am too busy watching my business haemmorage money and cannot get out to see bands (or get away from the horsey sauce IYKWIS). I hope to hear from you by monday the 8th at 5pm. |

Thank god that family business who sent that one email a year and a half ago went under. Wow that's a relief. |

Donewaiting shut them down. DW's presence in Powell has been huge since 1992 and ever since the fated email of 2010, when DW withdrew their support/votes from the greater Powell area, EspressoYS had no chance to survive. Wait...never mind. By the above logic every venue in town would be shut down. |

An alcohol license would've helped, I'm sure. |
