Serial numbers and such are great but go ahead and take it a step further, open up your guitar or pedal and write you info on the inside. No robber is going to take the time to check that.

I heard that the cops arrived and the Perp (yeah i watch tv) grabbed danielle around the neck and threatened bodily harm, thats when the quick witted danielle pulled out the hidden boot knife and stuck him right in the thigh. The screamin man let go whilst pissing himself, she spun around all kung fu style and then pulled some serious roadhouse bad'assery and yanked out his throat..awesome.

According to Music Go Round, this guy had a history of selling stolen gear to the stores.

So that makes sense; steal your lawyer - friend's gear, and sell it immediately to a place that knows you sell stolen gear. Brilliant!
