I have no invested interest in this show, other than try to wrangle together a crowd so Bourbon isn't empty for one of the better bands to come through town this month..... Got to see Crocodiles in Austin, and this San Diego duo was one of the better 30 minutes of music I saw all week. Reminds me of the JAMC with bits of sunshine pop peeking through, they also get pretty drone heavy between songs.....new album coming out on Fat Possum. Listen to "I Wanna Kill" for proof. http://www.myspace.com/crocodilescrocodilescrocodiles I've seen absolutely no promotion/write-ups about this show, no local bands on the bill (except DJ Captain Lonesome, who will do just fine by himself I presume), so I'm not 100% sure this is still going on. I hope so. Can anyone confirm this out there? |

I'm not sure I get their reasoning since tomorrow is the 6th/have never heard this band, but I guess they are our myspace friends.... appears to be canceled so they can continue touring like it's 1998 HEY PALS WE WERE ADDED TO A FEW MORE FAINT/LADYTRON TOUR DATES STARTING ON THE 8TH IN BOSTON. Not so fast Mr. Drubbing. If MSU wins, as Izzo says, it will "be good for America." We can't have your unpatriotic screed mucking up these boards. UNC will lose by 2, in a dramatic double overtime. Plus, by logic, if MSU wins tonight, OSU will be just as good, if not better than the National Champs.

i'm rooting for msu and really like izzo (even if he is personally responsible for the low-ceiling, 22%-from-the-field-shooting, disappointing brian gregory era at dayton), but i think unc matches up well with them. the spartans were able to neutralize uconn's strengths, but i think unc is just too deep and versatile. as for osu, i won't get into my thoughts on thad matta here . . . . someone tell the crocodiles i'll take a few hotdogs in lieu of the romantic dinner. |
