Bush League All Stars - Cedar Knees

Not really surprising but its a damn good album. I Highly recommend picking it up at the release show this friday.

Monolithic Cloud Parade- Children With Wolf Heads

This band has become one of my favorites, and this is a great debut. Corey Frye recorded most of this himself, and I can't wait to hear what they do with the whole band in new recordings. I love watching these guys live, and I'm excited to see where their sound goes.

Blastronauts- Galileo

James Allison is a talented promoter, and has done alot for Columbus with the Outer Sounds. It was great knowing that every Thursday there was going to be a cool show going on at Oldfield's. He's also a talented songwriter and performer to boot. Galileo is filled with catchy, dancey, progressive spacerock and i digs it.

Karate Coyote- Move ep
This album wasn't technically released in 09, but that's when I got me a copy. This ep is super catchy, and it makes me snap my fingers while occasionally lamenting their choruses for getting stuck in my head so hard...which is a promising sign of a radio hit.

I'll probably think of more soon...

The Reciever - Length of Arms. Easily the best local album this year in my opinion. Even if you don't like this type of music...no one else is doing this locally which should count for something.

Monolithic Cloud Parade's Children with Wolf Heads is up there too.

And, definitely Times New Viking Born Again Revisited
