Pirate Epic, R ck, Experimental http://www.myspace.com/listentopirate Pirate are a cerebral rock act from Columbus, Ohio. They've played with the best Columbus has to offer, from Chris McCoy to The Receiver. Pirate have also toured with national acts such as House of Heroes and Dear Future, along with sharing a stage this spring with EN N at Skully's in April. Pirate's live show offers a no nonsense, epic approach to rock music, while applying a ghostly aesthetic that shows a lustful or r mantic center. (Click t close this box.) |

I'm with Sam on this, having grown up in Youngstown. Bust out your Wiki and look up Akron, Canton, Youngstown/Warren, Toledo, Pittsburgh (most of Western PA), Erie, Gary, Flint, Wheeling, etc. C-bus may have a lot of rustbelt transplants, but it's foundation is in banking, insurance, telecommunications and tOSU - a far cry from the steel, automobile and coal industries. |
