I'm headed to the Arena District to watch. I should point out that I have always avoided the parade and other crap and just watch the fireworks, so I have no idea what the entirety of "Red, White and Boom" really is. It's cool if you can hoof it somewhere because driving is an absolute nightmare.

And just because pedestrians have the right of way DOES NOT mean cars will wait/watch out for you. Watch yourselves out there tonight. I mean it.

Hm, the Arena District seems to be the nu spot.

Word to the Duff: after the 'works, stay on the main streets & hightail it home. The streets become total mayhem & young crowds of hooligans (oh my god, I'm my grandma) run the streets & fight and terrorize. The cops can't control every street so stick to 3rd or High. It's like Comfest Saturday night- times ten. (Does anyone else think it was out of control Saturday night @ Comfest? There were enormous lines to the potty & no tp & crazy drunks and chaos.)

I will bring guns and machetes, cutting down all in my way.
