you too man! Powerful set! You have an awesome voice, especially as it's hard to mix an outdoor set. Looking forward to doing some shows together.

(I also noticed the little kids trying to dance to your odd meters and odder subjects... it was great! Gotta counter-program these kids away from the corporate definitions of music at an early age....)

Heh heh...yeah...seeing those kids try to dance to us was definitely creepy. I saw a couple parents looking as though they were considering grabbing their tykes and running away as fast as they could!

And The Bygones for the first time REALLY impressed me.

I think my favorite part of Comfest was watching the three very small children dancing to Gil Mantera...talk about corrupting the youth.

My highlights of comfest 2003:

The Apocolypso Glee Club
Heckling at The Sun: In a matter of 30 seconds someone whispered in my ear "They are really, really great for a terrible band" and then moments later someone screams "Stop being a pussy!" to Burney. Funny.
Michael Jackson on stage with 84 Nash.
Townsmen's X cover and Mountain II with full audience participation.
Ultimate Donny swinging upside down off the Gazebo stage.
Gil Mantera after his show dancing to the Jive Turkeys and turns out he's just a regular guy.
Don B getting on stage at the Jive Turkey's show- Security practically assaulted him- and all the Columbus regulars practically storming the stage to get the security guy to leave him alone.
Jive Turkey's Beach Boys cover.
The Randys- Yeah Yeah Yeah
The Bygone's from start to finish. The best cap to Comfest. and Holy Van Morrison cover.

SPIRIT kicked some ass friday night too, at live arts tent. it was loud, raw and smart, as usual. ray, malik and crew tore it up!

coolest part of the show? probably when malik stood on his head, flexed yoga style for like 25 seconds + while ray threw out incredibly speedy lyrical mayhem.

thanks a lot for the compliments/reviews/comments concerning our recent comfest show. it's nice to see that columbus still cares after 3+ years of our bullshit. the size of the crowd made the show insane. that was a big change from the last two years playing noon on saturday.

mr. duffy, i got your email. i'll get back to you later today when i get home. i've got about 30 that need my attention.
