I'm soliciting feedback for an EP I'm going to try to release over the summer. I have virtually no mixing/mastering ability, and I'm a little too close to the material to really judge it at this point. I'm also trying to work on these pieces as purely electronic/sampling pieces. One of the main issues is with recording of vocals - my voice has a certain frequency that it just resonates really really strongly at, and i'm not clear on exactly how to cut it out. Not sure if its a mic placement thing or something that can be fixed with some targeted EQ. I'm using an AudioTechnica mic which is supposed to have a really really flat response.
I know we don't really use donewaiting for this sort of thing, but I thought it would be a cool way to use the message board. Or whatever. You can make a snarky comment - as long as its hilarious. Or I'd love some withering criticism as well - actually i'd kinda love that - as long as its specific.
