the record is done. mastering in NYC at sterling-sound this Saturday. release date is 9-14-04. we're signing a distribution deal this week, probably tomorrow. you'll be able to buy the record in wal-marts, and some targets, and tower records, and some other places that I don't frequent that often....fortunately. Wait....I gotta admit, I love me some target. Will also be available at many, many indie one-stops around the U.S., and itunes, e-music, etc. we're pretty excited about that.

we've been doing some more shows w/ Grand Champeen lately, and I'll I can say is that they are soooooo fuckin' good. they are not alt.country, they are not twangy, they just rock like a threat.

the show we had with them in St. Louis on Saturday night was inspiring. Basically a sold out Blueberry Hill. We played what we felt might have been our best show ever, and they got on stage, told the audience, "Those Two Cow fellas kick our ass every time." They then proceeded to just destroy the place.

Expect more of the same.

Man, this was a really fun show. I'm sorry that there weren't more in attendence to enjoy it, but it didn't seem to dampen any of the performers. I knew nothing about the Bygones before this, and what a pleasant surprise. I will be seeing them again. Grand Champeen was just smashing. Funny, excited, loud, rocking. I've downloaded all I can from their site and am enjoying their mp3s as I type. I have to admit that I didn't make it through all of Two Cow's set, but not because they weren't holding my interest. Those guys are great, but it was getting damn late. I justified leaving knowing that their comfest performance was just days away. Good work all, and thanks for bringing it on a tuesday.
