what a great show TS5 really had a killer set, and the cd sounds great. anyone who didnt pick up one last night get your hands on one.

On behalf of the entire stepford crew, and this cannot be said enough, thankyouthankyouthankyou to all who came out to the show Friday at Little Brothers. A great crowd, a great night of music, the whole thing was practically a blur for me, and that's without alcohol. Without sounding like gushing, sincere thanks to donewaiting, Stephen, Chip and Columbus Alive for making us nerds look so purty on the cover and inside the mag, Mr. Dan Dougan for always being waaaay to kind to us, The Other Paper and Columbus Dispatch for giving us pub, and many many more people this unofficial collective we call a "scene" for sincerity, honesty and friendship.

I just read that back, sooooooo mushy. Oh well.

Nice release party all around. This is the first time I've seen The Stepford Five live before believe it or not. It sounded good. Jason and Keith are able to build up this sound with their guitars that really resonates well and I was trying to think if I've heard other bands in Columbus do that and couldn't think of any. I was feeling a bit tired and was thinking that I was going to duck out of the show early but I wound up staying until the end.

Campfire Crush was really great. I didn't know what to expect and I'm not sure I can even describe what I saw or heard, but I will definitely see them again if they play in Columbus.

The Whiles, well, I've seen The Whiles a million times and they continue to sound great. Kelly Taylor thinks that Zack should have been dancing more I actually did see Chris moving around a bit, bobbing his head and whatnot. Nice!

And, having Jon play between bands was a really nice touch and I hope to see it more often. Four band bills can be a bit much, but when it's somebody playing solo during the intermissions, it works really well (so would, I suppose, a DJ).

I enjoyed myself as well & even managed to meet the elusive(?) Chip Midnight. I think the part that most impressed me was Jon Chinn's masterful stage lighting abilities.

Kelly Taylor thinks everyone should dance more.

I've got a real live Dance Off in the works with a notable frontman & one of my "gal pals". It's gonna be so on.
